Drumline and Guard Audition Camp

The Drumline and Guard Audition Camp will be held August 1 through August 3, 2008. We will begin at 6pm on Friday, August 1 in Hill Hall 107 with the new drumline members, returning drumline members who wish to change instruments, and all prospective and returning guard members. At 8pm, all returning drumline members should report to Hill Hall 107 for a session that will last until 11pm. On Saturday, everyone will work from 9am until 12noon and from 1:30pm to 5pm. Following dinner on Franklin Street, everyone will work from 7p to 10p. The weekend will conclude with a session on Sunday that will begin at 9am and finish at 1pm.

The UNC Bands will provide lunch on Saturday. You will be on your own for breakfast Saturday and Sunday and dinner on Saturday. There will be no cost for the weekend and as usual we will ask that those returning members with apartments and dorm rooms locally help house those who do not have local housing. If you will need housing, bring along a sleeping bag and pillow and we will find a place for you to stay both nights.

If you cannot attend all or part of this weekend camp, please notify the UNC Band Office (either email us at uncbands@email.unc.edu or call 919-962-5695) as soon as you know you cannot attend. We will then get the list of those who cannot attend to our drumline instructor and our guard instructor and they will either make arrangements with prospective students to discuss an audition or excuse returning students from the camp.
