New students interested in becoming involved in the UNC Bands should stop by the Band's table at the Information Fair on the second day of each CTOPS session. All Carolina students, regardless of major, are welcome to become involved!
Guard Audition Camp: July 24-25, 2009
Drumline Audition Camp: July 31-Aug. 2, 2009
Band Camp (all members): August 19-22, 2009
The UNC Bands provide musical outlets for all UNC students, cultural enrichment for the University community, ceremonial music for University observances and entertainment and support at athletic events. Whether performing locally or traveling throughout the nation, the members of the UNC Bands are ambassadors of the University and maintain the commitment to excellence that is a hallmark of the University.
The UNC Bands encourage and promote academic excellence with rehearsal and performance schedules that are compatible with the student's academic requirements. Music majors and students pursuing degrees in other fields are able to participate without compromising their academic pursuits.
Students enjoy a friendly atmosphere, which enables them to grow in their performance, appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of music while spending time with friends who share similar interests.
