The Pride of the ACC

Since their first performance at a baseball game in 1904, UNC Bands have brought excitement and pride to every performance where the Carolina faithful gather.

Now in its second-century, UNC Bands represent the departments of music and athletics and the University at sporting and other events on campus and across the nation.

With more than 450 students from every academic major on campus, UNC Bands are one of the largest and most spirited organizations on the Carolina campus.  UNC Bands include The Marching Tar Heels, two basketball pep bands, five Olympic sport pep bands, the Wind Ensemble, the Symphony Band and the University Band.  The bands perform more than 150 times each year at athletic, university, and community events.

Support the UNC BANDS through:

• Annual gifts and multi-year pledges that demonstrate loyal and long-term support.
  
  
• Memorial gifts in memory of Major John Yesulaitis (Major Y) who died in December 2005, or in honor or in memory of another individual or group.
